Take Advantage of Facebook Groups- Read These 5 Benefits

Hey E-preneurs! So, I’ve recently been addicted to……...Facebook Groups!! Weird, right? I never thought I would still be in love with Facebook while everyone else is obsessing over Instagram, Snapchat, and whatever other social apps kids these days use.The power of Facebook is incredible for business professionals of all types. Many think Instagram rules the business world but the answer is really FACEBOOK.

So, I joined this Facebook Group to learn more about digital marketing for my management & consulting company On Twelve Management. The group is super helpful and has many other digital marketers who will give their advice, tips they may have, and even success stories. I joined the group to become better at cold calling to small businesses to assist them with their social media marketing and this group has taught me more than courses I have taken.

Here are 5 ways you can benefit from Facebook Groups:

  1. Product Launches or Group Projects – typically this group would be a “secret” group where no one can join unless you invite them to join. You can use a secret group for launching a product or working collaboratively on a group project. The purpose of the group will be to bring forth new ideas with one another, go over project deadlines, or to even ask for polls or opinions on a certain product.
  2. Mentoring- these types of groups are usually groups where you must ask to join and then may have to answer a series of questions to join the group (this is the kind of group that I joined that I am excited about). With mentoring groups, people that share a similar industry or related topic connect with one another and either have a mentor who coaches them or either allows the members of the group to be the coach. These types of groups are good for asking for feedback and getting opinions from others for your business.
  3. Event Groups- event groups are typically for people who are going to be attending an event or may have already attended the event and are using this for post hangout. I have been a part of one of these groups before where I attended a Business Conference and then after the conference a group was created so we can all stay connected and help one another. Creating a group before the event can also be beneficial because you can keep the attendees aware of what will be going on at the event and keep them posted on the event details.
  4. Business Networking-one of the members in the mentoring group I joined has suggested that I join business networking groups in the Atlanta area so that I can promote my services for On Twelve Management and my products for VITAL XII. I joined a business networking group and it has been awesome. These types of groups can seem a little salesy because everyone is pretty much promoting what they do however it is a great way to see who in your area is selling what and network with other like-minded individuals.
  5. Exclusive Memberships – exclusive memberships are a great way to keep your fans updated. When I started VITAL XII I created a Facebook Group specifically for “VITAL XII BABES” and used the group to show my customers new products and what events VITAL XII may had coming up. This type of group is a great way to promote your products to people who are interested because they are already your customers. (now that I’m writing this I think I may have to bring my Facebook Group back haha).

If you aren’t already a part of a Facebook Group I suggest you try either joining a group or even create your own group and see how it benefits your business e-preneur!
