Hey E-preneur! Happy 2018, the year of really Getting S#!T Done! I’m super excited for the new year and even more excited to be able to work with some local businesses to help them grow their social media with my management company On Twelve Management.

I have been researching so many classes and courses from Tai Lopez to Dan Henry on different social media strategies to help my clients. One of my favorite guru’s from when I first started doing business is Gary Vaynerchuck. I literally listen to him and live by his practices DAILY! Recently, he released some amazing info on driving traffic to your Instagram through hashtag usage. He calls this strategy the “$1.80 Instagram Strategy to Grow Your Business” This strategy involves leaving your 2 cents (but actually $1.80 total) of thoughts online in whatever specific niche or industry you are or want to be part of.

The trick to social media is to be SOCIAL, likes and followers don’t mean anything if you aren’t actually engaging and making conversation with your audience.

So here is a quick guide to the $1.80 Strategy, it has worked for me and I’m sure it will work for you as well if you just be consistent and follow the rules:

1. Define Your Hashtags

First, you will need to pick at least 10 RELEVANT hashtags that relate to your niche or industry. For example if you are in the fashion industry, try using these hashtags ( I like using the website http://www.hashtagify.meto find related hashtags) also, when you search for hashtags on IG you can easily find the related hashtags:

#style
#beauty
#shoes
#handbags
#deals
#shopping
#vintage
#love
#onlineshop

2. Find The Top 9 Post for Each Hashtag and Leave Your 2 Cents

On Instagram, once you look up a hashtag it will bring up the top 9 post for that hashtag. Go to those 9 post and leave your 2 cents (comment) on those post as well as like the post. The comment can be something very brief such as “nice post”, “awesome work”, “keep grinding”, etc.

3. Continue This Process For All 10 Hashtags DAILY

Move on to the next hashtag and like/comment (Leave Your 2 Cents) on the top 9 post in that category.

This is a simple process that will help you drive traffic IMMEDIATELY. You may gain a few followers a day, receive comments on your post, and get people to respond to your comments. Either way if you continue this process everyday just on your free time while you’re using the bathroom, eating lunch, or scrolling through your Instagram looking at Insta Celebs, you will immediately see results and become addicted…..like me (haha).
