Delete the 9-5 Mindset …
Cramming everything in those 8 hours? Yes, that was me not too long ago. So if you are like me and you have a 9-5, trying to run your own business, and also in school then you definitely know what I mean. Ok so I usually get my work done at around 10am, on a good day, then I rush to do my homework and then try to use the rest of the day to focus on VITAL XII (most of the time I’m actually just working on VITAL XII haha) but anyways after I have crammed everything I have to do in those 8 hours I leave work feeling exhaustedddd.
I’ve learned recently that being an entrepreneur causes you to be on your grind 24/7 and working those 8 hours alone is NOT going to get you to where you want to be. It takes dedication and time to be successful, and trying to rush to get everything done in those 8 hours is not going to get you there.
So, how do you fix it? Understand that with running a business there are other ways and times to work. Start your day off with writing everything you need to do down and then write beside it when you are going to do it. This helps me out because if I don’t write the times down then I am going to once again try to cram everything in 8 hours and be exhausted. It’s important to balance out your time and just take a BREAK. Don’t try to get everything done before you go home so you can just sit back and relax the rest of the day and watch television, actually go home and finish up on your business you are building. Get Shit Done!
If you are working a 9-5 and trying to run a business full time, like myself, then the real key is to QUIT that 9-5 and work on your business full time but I’ll get to that topic later….
