Just Imagine...
… going to school until you are 18 then deciding to take the next step off to college and then stay there 4 years, obtain a bachelor’s degree and still end up barely making minimum wage for an entry level position….sucks right? But hey, I’m in the big city ATL shawttyyy so I must be doing something right? Right? NAHHH. Working a 9-5 just to stay alive and not have the money to buy the things I like is NOT the business. How can I work so hard, go through school all these years, not get into trouble, not have any kids before marriage and still not be satisfied? It’s simple.. I’m not using what I have to get what I want, I’m just going with the flow doing things how I’m “supposed” to be doing them. Oh how that has changed!
I’ll take you back to the mindset I had about 10 months ago, living paycheck to paycheck and being satisfied with it. It was up until I had to sell my Ipad to my dad until it finally hit me! I CANNOT LIVE LIKE THIS! Of course my dad didn’t know I needed the money, I just kinda played it off making him think I didn’t need my Ipad anymore and explained how useful it would be for him to have it and of course he bought into the story and bought my Ipad from me for 300 bucks! Just what I needed in order to pay the rest of my rent. After I saw how easy it was to just sell stuff I didn’t need any more to others who may need it is when I realized I have to keep this going. Okay so I ran to my closet and thought about how it was soo much more stuff I didn’t need any more and how I could probably make some quick cash off of it, so I went to google trying to find places where to sell my stuff and ding God brought up Poshmark. Poshmark, oh how I love Poshmark. If you haven’t heard, Poshmark is a site where women can list used apparel and sell them to other women across the world.
Try it out ladies, www.poshmark.com
Many of the items I wanted to sell was old handbags I had that I would probably neverrrr wear again, and of course you can already bet the designer, COACH. I had many old Coach bags sitting in my closet and a few other not so high end bags just waiting to be sold. So I put my bags on Poshmark and I cannot lie within 2-3 days my Poshmark closet was boomin! I was shipping off bags a few times a week. So yea I was making a few extra dollars off those bags to keep my checking’s account in the positives but I was still pretty much struggling. I had to make a sacrifice. I had this super cute MCM Tote bag and a smaller clutch that came with it, mind you this was my first real high end designer bag, my ex had given it to me for my birthday but I wasn’t with him anymore so why keep something that he gave me? So I put my MCM bags on Poshmark and instantly soo many people were making offers on it. Selling these handbags was like magic, so many women wanted a new bag! And then it hit me, that’s what sells! Handbags! Handbags are a top seller and that’s what I’m going to do, I'm going to start my own business and start selling handbags! Just like that VITAL XII was born.
