5 Major Components for your E-commerce Site
Hey E-preneur! As you know this blog was created for my people who love to make money online. When I started Diaries of An E-preneur about a year ago I also gained a love for helping other entrepreneurs create their website and market their online business. I am currently working with a digital marketing agency to build and market websites so I want to share with you some key components to have on your site.
1. Pop-ups
Pop-ups are important for your online store and their purpose is to provide a very strong call-to-action. The action can be an announcement or a sale you want your customer to know about. But most importantly you want to collect the visitors email address. Collecting the email address is how you build your list. Building your list is imperative because thats how you send out email updates and newsletters to your customers.
2. Blog/News
When you are just starting your site you want to gain traffic right? Blogging generates traffic to your website. A lot of shop owners understand that part but they don't understand the important part. The important part of blogging is to share your story and not only sell the product but give you customer vital information about the product and why they should be using it.
3. FAQ
Having a Frequently Asked Questions section is important for any website. Since you are not directly in front of your customer you have to think of all the possible questions they may have and give it to them in the “FAQ” section. You want to make sure your customer completely understands the buying process, shipping, tracking, etc. without them having to message you for everything.
4. About Us
This section is crucial for a lot of new, small business owners because NOBODY KNOWS YOU YET. You want to give your customers your story and let them know why they should be buying from you opposed to other store owners. Some store owners do not want people to know who the face is behind the brand and that is fine and understandable however the majority of customers want to know who they are giving their money to and to make sure its not fraudulent.
5. Currency Converter
Selling internationally? Make the process easier for your international customers by having a currency converter on your website. They can easily switch the currency which takes out the stress from online shopping. You are more likely to get sales when customers have a quick and speedy checkout process.
