Fraud Alert
Ugh… so just two weeks ago I was telling you guys about how excited I was to have my first international order. Well guess what……it turned out to be a hoax. Not only my first international order but my second international is also a FRAUD!!!!! It took so much money and time preparing my international orders from shipping the product in a small enough box to paying extra cost for shipping. With my first international order it was chaos because not only did I lose one of the handbags the customer purchased but I also had to pay additional shipping cost and figure out how to ship the product which added on to the shipping time.
So I received my second international order and as soon as I got my second order and left the UPS store this is what I get:
$156 deducted from my payouts due to a fraudulent order!!!! The cardholder disputed the transaction due to a stolen credit card. I cannot believe my first international order was a fraud and I didn’t catch it before they got me! Always make sure to review all orders to make sure the card matches the address and make sure to contact the customer directly to make sure they did in fact place the order. The sad part is I actually did contact the customer by email to make sure they did place the order because this is what I received when they ordered:
I emailed the customer to verify the order and the person kindly responded, it’s sad that the person was emailing me back as if they were a genuine customer.
So now I took a loss for 3 handbags and $156! Mind you this was the first international order only. Like I stated right after I shipped my 2nd international order I received the email stating the 1st international order was fraud so I am quite certain the 2nd will be fraudulent as well and I will have to return the money and take a loss on 3 more handbags. International orders really can be complicated but I am very happy that this happened because I definitely have learned from my mistake of not carefully reviewing the order to make sure it is in fact not fraudulent. I want to still accept international orders but after all this chaos I’m not too certain if I will still continue shipping internationally.
