Back at it!
VITAL XII is back in action. We have a lot of major moves being made and trying to do so has been quite exciting. So I told you guys I recently hired an assistant/intern, I met her in person last Saturday and she is so awesome! She is a freshman at Clark University majoring in fashion merchandising. She is the true definition of a GO-GETTER, this girl is a freshman and has 2 jobs and is very passionate about working for VITAL XII, can’t go wrong there!!!
So I ordered new bags from this super dope website that my sister helped me find. The bags came so quick so Alayzia (my intern) and I had to hurry and prepare for a photo shoot to get the bags out and promoted. I also ordered some new accessories, previously the only accessories I was doing was fedora hats and pom pom key chains however now I have added chokers, bracelets, and dad hats.
I let Alayzia handle putting the photo shoot together so that way I can see her work ethic and see if she has what it takes to be TEAM VITAL XII. Alayzia did a great job of selecting the models and communicate with them the photo shoot details. Me, still feeling like I just have to have my hand in the jar, did the styling for the shoot. Styling is hard! Trying to pick out outfits for 10 different bags is time consuming and takes creativity but me being TEAM VITAL XII couldn't let that get in the way.
So 1 day before the shoot the expected unexpected happens…..the models cancel, OF COURSE. I have been around the entertainment/fashion industry for quite some time now so I was already prepared for something like this to happen. I called one of my previous models and she definitely came through for the WIN! Although we only had one model it worked out perfect, well there was one small problem.
The model was not able to fit almost half of the outfits I chose so we had to go with only 2 looks, but it still turned out okay. Preparation is key with anything you do, so always prepare for the worst but expect the best.
We are now going into week 2 with Alayzia on our team and we couldn't be more excited to have her. Not sure if I told you guys but I put an internship position on www.internships.com before I hired Alayzia and the resumes were rolling in like crazy. Since I had already had Alayzia as an intern I kind of have been slacking on reviewing the other applicants. However, one of the candidates decided to reach out to my email and express her interest with working with VITAL XII and I was astonished. This girl seemed so passionate about working with us so I just had to welcome her to the team. I plan on meeting her Saturday for an interview and I just hope she is as serious as she tells me. She also says she does photography so that should be a major plus with her being on the team. This week Alayzia and I are trying to keep our social media pages active and posting at least once a day as well as doing email campaigns, this is something that was very challenging to me before however I think this week we are doing an awesome job, what do you think?
Next up is a new segment of Diaries of an E-preneur, I think you guys will like this part….Stay Tuned!
